Child Care Resource and Referral

Stop by our child friendly office — there is a play area for the children — and find out how the Child Care Resource and Referral Program can support you. Sunshine Coast Food Bank & Food Security Programs

Food is distributed to our customers on Wednesdays from 10:00 am - 5:30 pm. Will it be your first time accessing the Food Bank? Check here for details on what to bring for your first visit. For more information call 604-885-5881 ext. 240 or email scfoodbank@sccss.ca.

Budget Conscious Cooking Classes

Join our unique, intimate, Budget Conscious Cooking Classes with chef and nutritionist Andrea Potter! Learn new recipes and skills to create fun and fabulous dishes which are easy on the wallet. Everyone is welcome! Pre-registration is required. Participants can register for one or more of the sessions. Register today at eventbrite.ca or contact Chris Hergesheimer. Arrowhead Clubhouse

Arrowhead Clubhouse is a place where people living with mental illness can come to learn skills, get support and build relationships in a safe, stigma-free environment. 

OPEN: Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 3.30 pm
CLOSED: Saturday and Sunday

Additionally, we are able to offer support to our members by phone 604-865-0471, by e-mail fhatton@sccss.ca, and via our Arrowhead Reception Facebook page - 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.


Community Services Thrift Store

At the Community Services Thrift Store, you can find all sorts of gems! We are a social enterprise and not-for-profit and operate with the dedication of volunteers. Every dollar at our Thrift store goes directly toward supporting SCCSS programs and participants.

WHEN: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Closed Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and holidays
WHERE: 731 North Road, Gibsons.

Youth Programs

The Youth Outreach program works to increase youth safety by connection and referring youth to local resources, focusing on risk reduction and providing the community with a broader understanding of youth issues.

Gender Diverse Network

The Gender Diverse Network (GDN) is a monthly therapeutic drop-in for those who identify or question whether they fall within the gender diverse spectrum (transgender, nonbinary, genderfluid, etc.). The GDN is a multi-generational group open to people aged 16+ to connect with others, give and share information, and seek support. If you’re under 16 and seeking resources, please feel free to contact Shayne (see below). The drop-in is on the second Thursday of every month.

Queer Youth Drop-In

A chance to hang out, have fun and get to know your community! This event is held on the fourth Thursday of every month at Sechelt Youth Centre and food is always provided. For more information, contact the Youth Outreach team on Instagram @SCyouthoutreach or call/text 604-865-0178.
