Supported Services to Children

This program provides support to children and youth with developmental and physical challenges to optimize their potential and quality of life.

The Supported Services to Children program provides individualized support to children and youth aged 12 to 19, residing on the Sunshine Coast between Port Mellon and Egmont, who have developmental or physical challenges. This support enables them to build on their strengths, develop new skills, and improve their overall quality of life. Through a variety of activities, youth have opportunities to grow socially, recreationally, and personally.

Life skills groups support children and youth in developing independence by offering hands‑on learning opportunities, community experiences, and relationship-building in a supportive environment.

What you can expect

Our program is goal‑oriented and designed to help children and youth work toward meaningful, achievable goals—both individually and within group settings.

We offer programming that supports full access to age‑appropriate community resources. Goals are mutually agreed upon and are designed to be attainable while still offering a healthy challenge and growth.

Our team works alongside families, caregivers, and community partners to build understanding of each child or youth’s abilities and to advocate for changes when external barriers limit participation or success.

We are committed to a family‑centred approach and encourage family involvement in all planning and decision‑making related to their child or youth’s care.

How you can take part
