Donate To Community Services

Sunshine Coast Community Services has been supporting our community since 1974. During this Covid-19 pandemic, we are still here to support you and your family. Our staff are supporting women experiencing abuse, checking in with new parents over the phone to make sure they feel connected, providing counselling support, and providing food and essentials through the Community Services Food Bank to an increasing number of community members. Your support during this challenging time helps us continue to support our most vulnerable and isolated community members.

Your donation supports SCCSS Support Programs, Community Services Food Bank, and our  Building Together - Affordable Housing Capital Campaign

Your donation is truly appreciated and supports more than 30 programs that offer services to those in our community who are under-resourced and face multiple barriers to accessing services:

SCCSS Support Programs
You can make a general donation to our support programs and let us direct the funds where most needed, or you can identify an area you prefer to support (please specify which program in the message area of the donation form).

Community Services (Sechelt) Food Bank
Demand for Food Bank services has increased significantly as many people struggle through the Covid-19 stresses on their income. The best way to support our Community Services Food Bank, located in Lamprey Lane, Sechelt, is to donate. For donations to other Food Banks (not operated by SCCSS), please contact them directly.

Building Together
SCCSS is embarking on an exciting capital campaign to raise funds for our redevelopment project. Building Together will bring our many programs under one roof and provide 34 affordable housing units for single women, mothers with children, youth who have aged out of the system, and senior women.

Arrowhead clubhouse is a place where people living with mental illness on the sunshine coast can come to learn skills, get support and build relationships in a safe, stigma-free environment.

Keeping the lights on!
Not everyone wants to support the operations of a charitable organization but the reality is there is a cost to keeping the lights on and the doors open.  Everything from building maintenance, staff payroll, insurance, and program delivery is an expense and funds must come form somewhere to cover that expense. Imagine a Coast without Community Services.

The path to launching a fundraising event typically begins with an idea and plan of action that is presented to Community Services. Charity auctions, 5K walk/run events or trivia nights all make great fundraisers! All events must be approved in advance to ensure cost-efficient, transparent and effective fundraising that fulfill our mission.
