Youth and Parent/Caregiver Advisory
The planning and design of our local Foundry centre is supported by our Youth Advisory and Parent & Caregiver Advisory.
Meet our Parent and Caregiver Advisory

These advisories meet monthly and support the Foundry SC team and Community Partners in creating a centre that is welcoming, accessible, and adapting to the needs of young people and their caregivers.
In the spring, some of our PCA members met for a cedar weaving workshop with Jessica Silvey at Red Cedar Woman Studio. This was a perfect opportunity to connect with each other and grow our knowledge of Coast Salish culture. Left to Right: Lisa Weitendorf (Engagement Facilitator), Jen Davey, Rebecca Ryan and Cheryl Alsop (Advisory Members) and Nievelina Carmona (Indigenous Engagement Facilitator).

Riley (he/him)
Riley is a member of our Youth Advisory. He is excited to help build community awareness around Foundry planning, and future supports. "Hi! I’m Riley, and I’m passionate about volleyball — it’s my favourite way to stay active and connect with others. I was introduced to Foundry by a friend, and I was immediately drawn to the vibrant community. I wanted to join Foundry to develop my skills and build lasting connections with like-minded people. I’m excited to grow alongside everyone and contribute to this amazing community!"
