Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary Donations
We are filled with so much gratitude and love for the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary for their unbounded generosity to Community Services!
This week, six of our programs received grants from the latest round of funding totalling $54,000. Every year, SCHA issues grants of up to $10,000 in support of community initiatives that offer health benefits for residents of the Sunshine Coast. These grants will help us deliver healthy meals, strengthen families, support dads, engage children with diverse needs, and assist seniors living independently - creating meaningful impact across the Sunshine Coast.

❤ Arrowhead Clubhouse - $10,000
This grant goes a long way in helping Arrowhead Clubhouse provide over 7,000 hot, nutritious meals to its members each year.
❤ Dads Matter - $10,000
The Dads Matter program, which is 100% funded by SCHA, helps Dads achieve the goal of being the best Dad they can be and enables them to connect with other fathers in the community.
❤ Better at Home - $10,000
Thanks to this grant, Better At Home is a program that helps Seniors with simple, non-medical home support services, so that they can continue to live independently in their own homes and remain connected to their communities.
❤ Bellies and Babies - $10,000
This grant will allow Bellies and Babies to provide prevention-based programs such as Mamas Supporting Mamas that facilitate connection, providing a safe space for women to share their experiences. The grant will fund programs such as prenatal workshops, infant massage groups and breastfeeding classes.
❤ Parent-Tot Drop-In - $8,000
Thanks to this grant, Parent-Tot Drop-In will be able to keep running through the summer months and provide Zoom cooking classes and ingredients to families unable to connect in person.
❤ Kids In Motion - $6,000
This grant supports the participation of children with support needs in therapeutic recreation and leisure activities through the Kids In Motion program.
