Sunshine Coast Community Services Society (SCCSS) is inviting proposals to design and renovate the new Foundry Sunshine Coast youth wellness centre in downtown Sechelt.
Foundry Sunshine Coast is seeking Requests for Proposals from qualified teams of consultants (Architect, Interior Designer, Engineers, etc.) led by an Architect or Interior Design firm (as the coordinating professional) to design and renovate a new youth wellness centre in downtown Sechelt. The centre will bring together physical and mental health care, substance use services, peer support, and work and education services for youth aged 12-24 and their family/caregivers.

- Location: Former bank building, Cowrie Street & Wharf Avenue, Sechelt

Approx. 7,795 sq. ft. one-storey building with potential for indoor and outdoor youth-friendly spaces
Scope of services
- Functional programming and schematic design
- Design development and construction documents
- Contract administration through project completion
- Engagement with youth, families, and partners in design process

Coordination of sub-consultants and integration of branding/wayfinding
Proposal requirements
- Firm qualifications and relevant experience
- Understanding of youth-centred and community-based design
- Approach to engagement and accessibility
- Work plan, schedule, and fee structure
Timeline
