Supported Child Development Consultant

The Supported Child Development (SCD) Consultant develops individual plans for children who require additional support in conjunction with parents, childcare educators, and other community professionals. They bring a strength-based approach to excellence in service delivery and report to the Supported Child Development Lead.

What does it take to be a Supported Child Development Consultant? You are energetic, fun, flexible, and have a passion for working with children, their families and early childhood educators.  Your education and experience give you the background to competently work directly with children, families, early childhood educators and professionals, as well as facilitate meetings to develop individual plans for children. You have solid communication skills and can support children, parents, and professionals to advocate for children and youth who require support.  You believe in a family-centered and inclusive approach to empower children and families to reach their goals and be active members in our community.
