Summer Children's Drop-In Program Assistant

Temporary Part Time

The Program Assistant, Children’s Summer Drop-In creates a welcoming and safe environment for the participants of Thyme Second Stage Program (Thyme). The Children’s Drop-In Program is operated by the Children’s Support Worker and provides year-round support and activities to children who have experienced or been exposed to violence and/or abuse. Come summer, additional assistance with activities and implementation of the program benefits families when school-aged children are out of school. The Program Assistant reports to Thyme Second Stage Program Lead.

 

What Does It Take To Be The Summer Program Assistant at Thyme?

You are between the ages of 15 and 30 and have an interest in working with children. Education or training in the fields of early childhood education, special needs, child and youth care, or children's exposure to abuse is an asset.
