Indigenous Wellness Liaison
Regular Part-Time
Hours: up to 12/wk
Wage: 21.95-25.41
The Indigenous Wellness Liaison works from a culturally informed, strength-based approach with identified Indigenous families, youth, and children living along the Coast from Port Melon to Pender Harbour. This part-time position will work to support the provision of mainstream CYMH services in an accessible and culturally competent manner including making referrals to other community resources as appropriate.
What does it take to be an Indigenous Wellness Liaison?
You have post-secondary education in a related field and at least one year of work experience in a relevant work position or the equivalent combination of education and experience. You are experienced with and knowledgeable about culturally competent practices and understanding of the impacts of colonization on Indigenous communities, families, and individuals. You have working knowledge of available and relevant support systems and resources.
