Relief Receptionist

Casual/on-call hours as required.

The Receptionist positively represents and supports Community Services and its programs through telephone and office reception and participates as part of the administrative team. The On-Call Receptionist reports to the Director, Finance.

What does it take to be a relief receptionist? You are an enthusiastic person who thrives in a busy work environment. This position covers reception during absences and occasional peak activity periods. The successful incumbent will respond to staff and client inquiries in a friendly and helpful manner, be comfortable answering the main phone and forwarding calls as necessary and be able to manage a busy and ever-changing work environment. On-Call / Relief Reception work may also include drafting documents using MS Office products and scheduling appointments in MS Outlook.

Previous administrative and reception experience is an asset. Experience with office equipment such as mail machines, and photocopiers is considered an asset.
