National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women - December 6th

Violence against women and girls remains a worldwide phenomenon. To commemorate the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, Community Services, the Sunshine Coast Labour Council and the Canadian Labour Congress will be hosting a vigil on Friday, December 6.

This event will pay tribute to the 14 women that lost their lives during the Montreal massacre 30 years ago and will be an opportunity to acknowledge the countless women and girls that are victims of gender-based violence.
We welcome you to join us in remembering those we have lost as a result of violence and to declare an end to all forms of abuse against women and girls.
Join us Friday, December 6 from 5:00-6:30 pm, Kinsman Hall, 516 Gower Point Road, Gibsons. This event will feature speakers and refreshments.
