Housekeeping Support Worker and Facilities Cleaner
Better at Home (BH) is a program that helps Seniors with simple, non-medical, home support services, so that they can continue to live independently in their own homes and remain connected to their communities. The Housekeeping Support Worker primarily provides light housekeeping support to Seniors living in their own homes, using predominantly the client’s supplies. The Housekeeping Support service focuses on safety and hygiene, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and floors. For the Facilities Cleaner portion of the position, designated SCCSS facilities will be identified for cleaning on a weekly or biweekly schedule.
What Does It Take to be the Housekeeping Support Worker and Facilities Cleaner?
You have prior housekeeping experience and experience with or interest in working with older adults. You are reliable, organized, and able to communicate in a friendly, caring, and respectful manner. You understand and can follow strict health and safety protocols. A valid driver's license is also required.
