Family Preservation/Family Support Counsellor

Temporary Full Time

The Family Preservation/Family Support Counsellor provides individual, family, and group counselling, with the aim of supporting clients to build on their strengths and develop positive relationships within their families and communities. The Family Preservation/Family Support Counsellor brings a strength-based approach to excellence in service delivery and reports to the Lead of Child and Family Counselling Team.


What does it take to be the Family Preservation/Family Support Counsellor?

You have a post-secondary degree in Social Work and three years of experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You are knowledgeable regarding the dynamics of abuse, parenting issues, mental health and addictions, and you understand trauma-based work with an anti-oppressive approach to family systems.
