Third
three-year accredication achieved
Sunshine Coast Community Services Society has received its third
three-year accreditation from CARF. Founded in 1966, CARF is the
Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities, an international,
not-for-profit organization that accredits human services providers.
We have posted the 2008
CARF Accreditation Report on the website, if you'd like to read
what the surveyors had to say. We will post the 2011
CARF Accreditation Report as soon as we receive it.
We welcome your feedback on the report, or on any other aspect
of the Society.
CARF accreditation affords a provider
many benefits:
• Assurance on the part of persons seeking services that an
organization meets internationally accepted standards.
• Person-focused standards that emphasize an integrated and
individualized approach to services and outcomes.
• Accountability to funding sources, referral agencies, and
the community.
• Continuous quality improvement through the application of
CARF standards.
• Management techniques that are efficient, cost-effective,
and based on outcomes and consumer satisfaction.
• Evidence to assure federal, provincial, and local governments
of the quality of programs and services that receive government
funding.
• Guidance for responsible management and professional growth
of personnel.
